چکیده
The heat transfer coefficient (HTC) of microchannel sinks (MHS) is higher than common due to area volume ratio. Its value for two-phase flow boiling much superior single-phase flow. In addition, the provides uniform wall temperature close coolant’s saturation in low vapor qualities. present study, a sink optimized dimensionally after modeling R134a refrigerant microchannels. Firstly, mixture method along with flux partitioning are utilized introduce an applied thermal model design MHSs. mounted on backside Intel core i7-900 desktop processor dimensions 19 mm×14.4 mm× 1 mm numerically simulated investigate performance. HTC and exit quality comparable available empirical correlations first law thermodynamics, respectively. Then proposed developed optimize microchannels minimized temperature. Bound optimization by quadratic approximation (BOBYQA) results sink. Optimization sink’s geometry terms at various boundary conditions will be practical as unique application model.

Navier-Stokes equations with conjugate energy equation are discretized by finite-volume method. We perform numerical computations for a range of 50 Re 600, 0.05W ...
متن کاملTwo-phase Microchannel Heat Sinks: Theory, Applications, and Limitations
Boiling water in small channels that are formed along turbine blades has been examined since the 1970s as a means to dissipating large amounts of heat. Later, similar geometries could be found in cooling systems for computers, fusion reactors, rocket nozzles, avionics, hybrid vehicle power electronics, and space systems. This paper addresses (a) the implementation of two-phase microchannel heat...
